Here are the 2023 WWE Fastlane Predictions
Iyo Sky vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Championship
Iyo Sky captured the WWE Women’s Championship by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. Last week on SmackDown, Asuka saved Charlotte Flair before Damage CTRL attacked her. The Empress told something to Iyo Sky in Japanese. Bayley then announced that Genius of the Sky would defend her title against Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat match at Fastlane.
Since winning the title, Iyo Sky successfully defended it multiple times in live events. This will be her first title defense in a premium live event. Asuka actually didn’t need a title at this point as she has done everything in WWE. The same goes for Charlotte Flair. Our Prediction: Iyo Sky retains her WWE Women’s Championship.
Finn Bálor & Damian Priest vs. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles
Finn Balor and Damian Priest won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles by defeating Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a Steel City Street Fight at Payback. The Judgment Day successfully retained the titles by defeating former champions on the September 25th episode of Monday Night RAW.
Cody Rhodes brought Jey Uso back to the WWE RAW and he helped Jey from Judgment Day’s attacks a couple of times. However, we don’t think Balor and Priest will drop their titles so soon. Cody shouldn’t win any title before finishing his story at WrestleMania 40. Our Prediction: Finn Bálor and Damian Priest retain their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
The LWO vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits in a Six-Man Tag Team Match
Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar defeated Street Profits on the September 22nd episode of SmackDown. Bobby Lashley was frustrated with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins after their loss.
Last week, Lashley told them to prove their worth. The former tag team champions then attacked LWO on SmackDown which impressed The All Mighty. LWO challenged Lashley and Street Profits to a Six-Man Tag Team match during SmackDown LowDown last week. Our Prediction: Bobby Lashley and Street Profits win the match.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The storyline between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura began on the August 7th episode of Monday Night RAW. In that show, Nakamura attacked Rollins after the Six-Man Tag Team match.
The Visionary successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating King of Strong Style at Payback. However, Nakamura brutally attacked Rollins after the match. For weeks, Seth Rollins demanded a rematch from Nakamura. He finally agreed to face Rollins in a Last Man Standing match for the title at Fastlane.
Shinsuke Nakamura is still unable to connect with the audience. Therefore, Nakamura shouldn’t dethrone Rollins. The Visionary has plenty of opponents left to face until WrestleMania. CM Punk may be one of them. Our Prediction: Seth Rollins retains the World Heavyweight Championship.
John Cena & LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa in a Tag Team Match
John Cena made his return on the September 1st episode of SmackDown. In that show, Cena and Jimmy Uso exchanged a few words. Cena told Jimmy that the wrong Uso quit. Cena’s statement angered Jimmy.
Jimmy Uso then slowly reconnected with The Bloodline. Two weeks ago, John Cena and AJ Styles challenged Jimmy and Solo to a Tag Team match. The Bloodline then attacked Styles backstage.
Last week, John Cena said that he would face The Bloodline in a 2-on-1 Handicap match. Jimmy & Solo then launched a 2-on-1 attack on Cena. However, LA Knight helped Cena and signed the contract to become Cena’s tag team partner at Fastlane. This will be a huge opportunity for The Megastar. Our Prediction: John Cena and LA Knight win the match.
