Earlier this month, The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) requested their release from WWE. However, the management has denied their release request.
On Monday, Jagger Reid issued a statement on Twitter and stated that the company has refused to give his release. Reid also noted that his WWE contract will expire on 14th October 2023.
Rip Fowler tweeted that his release request was also denied by WWE. Fowler stated that he and Reid requested their release on April 3rd but wasn’t granted. Fowler further noted that his contract is set to expire on 15th October 2023. Both tweets have now been deleted.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that both of them wanted to go back to the United Kingdom, which is the reason why they requested their release.
“There’s reasons that they wanted to move back to England, and that’s basically it. Yeah, when we talked about the story on April 3 right after WrestleMania [39] when I first heard about it, it was pretty much, in NXT, it was like they were gone. They asked for their release, they were gonna get released, and then they were basically told, ‘We have to decide’. They’ve been working there. I guess today, based on the tweet, they were told, ‘No, you’re not getting your release’ They’re gonna be there until the end of the contract and that’s that. Then presumably they will leave unless they change their minds,”
