This week, WWE superstars and staff are scheduled for travelling to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel premium live event. The show is set to take place on Saturday, November 5th from Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, WWE superstars and staff reportedly have a security threat in the country.
The Wall Street Journal reported that “Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the U.S. warning of an imminent attack from Iran on targets in the kingdom”.
WSJ added that the United States, Saudi Arabia, and “several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces.”

The National Security Council spokesperson has issued the following statement regarding the imminent attack from Iran.
“We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis. We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”

Now, PWInsider has reported that Crown Jewel PLE still taking place this Saturday and the company has special security protocols for any matters. WWE backstage officials believe everything will be fine.
“In speaking to several at WWE, we are told that the show is set to still go forward and that the company already has security protocols and emergency contingencies in place for any issues. They are hopeful all will be fine.”
