WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 All Winners & Losers – The Spotlight Predictions

The first ever WWE Clash at the Castle premium live event is set to take place this Saturday from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Six matches are confirmed for the event including three Championship bouts. In the main event, Drew McIntyre is set to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Clash at the Castle will air at 1 p.m. ET and the kickoff show is starting one hour before the main card at 12 p.m. Fans in the United States has able to watch the show on Peacock and the others can watch the event on WWE Network as usual.

Here’s the WWE Clash at the Castle Predictions

Gunther (c) vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship

Gunther has been unstoppable ever since he won the IC title from Ricochet. Sheamus earned the championship opportunity by defeating Ricochet, Madcap Moss, Happy Corbin, and Sami Zayn in a fatal five-way on the August 19th episode of SmackDown. The build-up of their storyline is amazing and both superstars have protected as tough guys on the blue brand. The fans in the Principality Stadium will be able to witness one of the hard-hitting bouts this Saturday. Our prediction: Gunther retains his Intercontinental Championship.

Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. The Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest)

The Judgement Day has become an interesting group on Monday Night RAW right now after Triple H came to power. The faction was misused by Vince McMahon’s regime several weeks ago. The Mysterios are feuding with The Judgment Day for a long time. They were able to defeat Damian Priest and Finn Balor in a No Disqualification Tag Team Match at SummerSlam with help from Edge. Despite not competing, Dominik Mysterio is playing a major role in this tag team match and this Saturday Dominik could be turning heel and joining The Judgement Day. Our Prediction: The Judgement Day wins the match

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler for SmackDown Women’s Championship

WWE built Liv Morgan as an underdog who always finds a way to overcome the odds. At SummerSlam, Liv successfully retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship after defeating Ronda Rousey in a controversial fashion. But she still has unfinished business with Rousey. However, Liv has to face another tough opponent following Ronda Rousey’s storyline suspension. Shayna Baszler became the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title after defeating Xia Li, Shotzi, Raquel Rodriguez, Aliyah, Sonya Deville, and Natalya in a Gauntlet Match. Our Prediction: Liv Morgan retains her SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins was supposed to face Matt Riddle at SummerSlam. However, the match was pulled from the card after announcing a storyline injury for Riddle. This bout became more interesting following Rollins’ statement about Riddle’s personal life on this past Monday Night RAW. Our Prediction: Matt Riddle wins the match.

Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss & Asuka vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match

This past Monday Night RAW, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky were unable to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Due to that loss, Bayley’s faction momentum slowed down and they especially need a win here. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair should protect in the tag team match which means Alexa Bliss or Asuka will eat the pin. Our Prediction: Bayley, Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky win the match.

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Roman Reigns’ Title matches were too much predictable ever since he won the Universal Title at Payback in 2020. However, in the past couple of weeks, there was a rumor circulated that Reigns could be dropping one of or both titles at Clash at the Castle. Therefore, this bout is a little bit hard to predict. Last month, Karrion Kross made his shocking return and attacked Drew McIntyre. Kross always taking shots at McIntyre while doing promos. Also, boxing world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will be at ringside. Hence, some kind of interference could be happening during the match. On the other hand, Mr. Money in the Bank Theory could cash his MITB contract during the bout. This is the first time in thirty years WWE holding a major stadium event in the UK and McIntyre could be making history at Clash at the Castle after defeating The Tribal Chief. Our Prediction: Drew McIntyre dethrones Roman Reigns and becomes the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
