Last night at Full Gear, Tony Schiavone introduced Will Ospreay as All Elite Wrestling’s latest signing. However, Ospreay said that he needs to finish up with NJPW before competing in Tony Khan’s promotion. The 30-year-old also said that he will start with AEW at Revolution next year.
Will Ospreay appeared on the AEW Full Gear post-show media scrum and answered the question of why he decided to join All Elite Wrestling. Ospreay said that joining AEW is the best decision for him and his family at this time.
“I feel like I’m at my best over here. I’ve enjoyed every time I’ve come over here, and right now this is just the best decision for me and my family. I’m not interrupting my kids’ school, my Mrs. can see her parents, like, this is, I get to be one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever done it, and I get to do it on weekly TV, and I get to really test myself in these waters.”
