Last night, WWE held the 2023 Royal Rumble premium live event at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in front of forty-plus thousand fans. The show featured numerous surprises as well as a few botches.

Nia Jax who was released from the company in November 2021 made her shocking return as the 30th entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble Match. Usually, a wrestler enters the ring after the countdown in the Royal Rumble match. However, WWE played Nia Jax’s music before the countdown ended.

WWE planned a survival spot for Kofi Kingston in the men’s Royal Rumble match last night. Gunther threw Kofi toward a chair that was set up at ringside. Kofi was supposed to land on the chair smoothly. However, Kofi missed the spot and collide with the announcers’ table. This was the second time that Kofi Kingston missed a planned spot.
