Devin Haney and his friends were involved in an altercation with a person at the Orange County Fair this week. The video clip of the incident has been circulated on social media.
Haney started the fight by hitting a sucker punch at the person, and then his friends continued the pummeling. After hearing the police sirens, the boxer walked away from the scene. Later, Haney’s friends also fled from the place.
TMZ Sports reported that the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has started an investigation regarding the incident. TMZ added that the authorities had met a person who claimed to be a “victim of an assault and battery.” However, no arrests were made.

On X, Devin Haney’s rival, Ryan Garcia, reacted to the incident as follows:
“He couldn’t even drop a civilian
Also you talked about being a great role model
You really punched someone while your whole team jumps one guy sounds pretty diddy to me”
“I wonder what the commission would do if I fought someone and it was caught on camera hmmm
Thing is he punches so soft that maybe they will let it slide and call it play fighting
Hmmm who knows 🤷♂️”
