CM Punk is a controversial figure in pro wrestling. Back in August last year, Punk made his AEW debut. However, less than a year he was involved in a huge backstage brawl during AEW All Out media scrum. As of result, Punk was stripped of the AEW World Title and suspended indefinitely.
It was recently reported that AEW President Tony Khan reportedly is in talks with CM Punk about buying out the remaining years of his AEW contract. Although, nothing is confirmed yet.
After AEW backstage incident, CM Punk did not appear at any public event. However, on Thursday, Punk returned as a commentator for Cage Fury Fighting Championship’s CFFC 114 event. Punk also worked with CFFC several times before signing with AEW.
