Some wrestlers are better to be a babyface than a heel and some are better to be a heel than a babyface. For example, Charlotte Flair is better as a heel than a babyface.
The 36-year-old superstar made her shocking return to WWE on the final episode of SmackDown last year as a babyface. Charlotte Flair then demanded a rematch from Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the same episode of SmackDown. In the end, Charlotte won the SmackDown Women’s Title by roll-up pin. She then celebrated the victory with fans at the arena.
This past Friday on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair did a promo on winning a world championship 14 times. Sonya Deville then interrupted Charlotte and demanded a title match. Charlotte agreed to put the title on the line. In the closing moment of the bout, Charlotte Flair hit a spear and then put a Figure-Eight Leglock on Deville to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Following the match, Charlotte Flair snatched the championship from referee Jessika Carr. The 36-year-old immediately realized that she is no longer a heel. She then thanked the referee in a babyface manner.
