Earlier this year, Vince McMahon removed three board members by using his voting power. McMahon then joined the board with himself, Michelle Wilson, and George Barrios. A few days later, McMahon was elected as the Executive Chairman of WWE.
Last April, Vince McMahon and Ariel Emanual of Endeavor signed an agreement to form “TKO Group Holdings, Inc.” In the financial report, WWE stated that the new entity will form later this year. McMahon will serve as the Executive Chairman of the new company.
Recently, TMZ reported that Vince McMahon successfully underwent spinal surgery two weeks ago. The surgery was said to be a major one and lasted four hours.
Today, WWE reported its April to June financial report. The company generated $410.3 million in revenue. During the earnings call, WWE CEO Nick Khan confirmed that Vince McMahon took a leave of absence from WWE on July 21st. However, McMahon still remains as WWE’s Executive Chairman.
