Last night’s WWE RAW took place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly spotted backstage on Monday Night RAW. McMahon has overseen the product remotely in the past weeks.
Fightful Select reported that WWE production staff prepared an office for Vince McMahon at the XL Center. McMahon arrived at the arena at 6:30 ET. They noted that most of the staff and superstars weren’t surprised by McMahon’s visit as Hartford isn’t too distant from where McMahon lives.
Fightful also stated that Vince McMahon was spotted in the Gorilla position and made changes to the show minutes before the live broadcast. As a result, some segments and matches were nixed. Fightful added that backstage morale was way better than the April 3rd episode of WWE RAW.
Fightful further noted that “internal reports indicated that the Raw in Hartford was the highest-grossing Raw/Smackdown in the history of the market for WWE.”
BWE reported that Vince McMahon changed RAW’s opening segment. Seth Rollins and Judgement Day’s segment was made as the kick-off segment by McMahon.
