Update On Scott D'Amore After Being Fired From TNA Wrestling

Last February, Anthem Sports & Entertainment fired TNA president Scott D’Amore from the company. Len Asper, the owner of Anthem, appointed Anthony Cicone as the new president of TNA.

Recently, Will Ospreay pitched AEW to hire Scott D’Amore to oversee the ROH brand. During a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest, former WWE and ECW star Rhino discussed Ospreay’s comment. He said that D’Amore is getting paid by Anthem Sports & Entertainment until February next year.

“I read online [AEW] should get Scott D’Amore to run Ring of Honor. It would ease the burden on some of the talent, but Scott’s at home getting paid for… I think until next February, and he’s never not worked, you know? Or never gotten paid to not work.”

PWInsider confirmed that Scott D’Amore has a non-compete that prevents him from working for promotions in the United States and Canada.
