Sasha Banks walked out from WWE along with Naomi on the May 16th episode of Monday Night RAW. We previously reported the entire story. Click here to read more.
On Thursday, Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc reported that Sasha Banks was released from WWE. Although, he did not confirm whether Banks requested the release or WWE fired her. Recently Ringside News reported that Sasha Banks’ contract situation was handled by her attorneys. Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast later confirmed it.
However, WrestleVotes reported that Sasha Banks was a hot topic backstage on last night’s SmackDown. They noted Giri’s report is completely accurate.
“The word backstage from SmackDown tonight is that the report from Raj Giri is indeed accurate according to multiple sources.
Sasha Banks has been released from her WWE contract.“

Sasha Banks has been released from her WWE contract.
WWE announces when someone releases from the company, but they have not publicly announced Sasha’s status this time. Sasha Bank is still listed on the WWE internal roster page as inactive/suspended. Typically, WWE attaches a 90-day non-compete clause when they release a main roster superstar from the company. If Banks has been released, she will become a free agent in September.
As of this writing, there’s no report about Naomi’s WWE contract status. She is still listed as inactive/suspended on the WWE internal roster page.
