Update On Edge’s Contract Status

By The Spotlight StaffOctober 1, 2023
Update On Edge's Contract Status

WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrestled his final match on his contract against Sheamus on the August 18th episode of SmackDown. A day before the bout, Edge confirmed that his contract would expire in September.

Edge’s contract has now expired. This means he is officially a free agent. As of now, a lot of rumors circulate on social media regarding Edge’s next move. Many expect him to debut tonight at AEW WrestleDream.

The Rated R Superstar can appear in any wrestling promotion. However, Edge can’t use his WWE’s stage name.

It’s worth noting that last August, Edge posted a video on X and revealed that he and WWE are on good terms. The company has offered him a contract extension.

“I didn’t come at them with some crazy contract or anything, and they didn’t deny me. I have a contract extension sitting in my inbox. I just don’t know what to do…”
