Edge's WWE Contract Has Not Expired Yet

Last night on SmackDown, the WWE Hall of Famer Edge faced Sheamus for the first time to celebrate his 25th anniversary in WWE. The Rated R Superstar was able to win the match after delivering a Spear on The Celtic Warrior.

Edge addressed the fans at Scotiabank Arena after the show went off the air. The WWE Hall of Famer said that this would be his final match in front of his hometown fans.

In an interview with ET Canada, Edge stated that last night’s bout against Sheamus was his final match on the current WWE contract. Soon after the bout ended, a lot of news outlets reported that Edge’s deal has expired.

However, on Thursday, Edge spoke to SPORTSNET’s Fan Morning Show and confirmed that his current WWE contract will expire in late September.
