Dragon Lee is one of the top pro wrestlers in independent wrestling. Lee has worked in numerous wrestling promotions throughout his career including NJPW, ROH, AAA and CMLL. He also competed on the August 28th episode of AEW Dynamite, where he teamed with Andrade El Idolo and Rush to face The Elite in the Trios Championship tournament.
Last night at Lucha Libre AAA event (Noche de Campeones), Dragon Lee announced that he has signed a contract with WWE. He said “I’m going to continue representing my country as I have done until now. My Mexico, this is for you and all the people that had trusted me. So WWE there I go! 2023 is gonna be a new year for me. This is for Mexico! Let’s go! I am very happy. Thanks to all the people who accompany me. That’s all, thank you.”

At the AAA event, Dragon Lee and Dralistico won the AAA Tag Team Titles by defeating FTR. However, Lee relinquished the title after the announcement.
WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H issued the following statement after signing Dragon Lee to WWE. Lee will start his WWE career with NXT from January onward.
