Last night, WWE held the Fastlane premium live event at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. You can read the results of the show by clicking here.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared at the Fastlane post-show press conference and announced that more than fourteen thousand fans attended the show. He also said Fastlane was the highest highest-grossing WWE event in Indianapolis.
Triple H then commented on Adam “Edge” Copeland’s WWE departure. He said that it was the right time for him and the company. Levesque added that Edge has done everything in WWE, and he is happy for him.
“Time was right for him and time was right for us. I think he had an amazing send-off here. I think he had felt like he had done what he had to do, and we felt, ‘you’re right.’ I think he said it the other say that there’s no animosity here. He’s doing what’s right for him and his family, and I’m happy for him. I’m very, very happy for him. I sent him that in a message, ‘I’m happy for him’ I’m proud of him and happy for him. This has gotta be right for you, it’s a grind, and if any opportunity is better for them, great, that’s wonderful. But, the machine doesn’t stop for anyone, right? We’re just gonna continue to grow and we’re gonna continue to do what we do.”
Adam Copeland’s first match in AEW will take place next Tuesday on Dynamite against Luchasaurus.
