There were a lot of things changed in WWE management since July. Paul “Triple H” Levesque became one of the most powerful authority figures and was appointed as Head of Talent Relations and Head of WWE creative in July of last year.
Earlier this month, Vince McMahon returned to the company despite the board’s objection. Since then, there were a lot of rumors circulated on social media regarding the WWE sale.
Last night, WWE held Friday Night SmackDown in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Prior to the show going on air, Triple H held a talent meeting.
PWInsider reported that Triple H told superstars that Vince McMahon won’t return to the creative team and current creative plans didn’t change. McMahon only came back to the company to kick off the selling process. The superstars were also informed not to believe rumors.
Triple H remains in his roles as Head of Creative, Head of Talent Relations and Chief Content Officer despite Stephanie McMahon leaving the company. Triple H is also on the WWE board of directors.
Fightful Select reported that Kevin Dunn also spoke during the talent meeting. Dunn stated that he is working for Vince McMahon for 40 years and McMahon didn’t say anything about creative changes. Dunn further said McMahon made suggestions to the other WWE departments but it wasn’t implemented.
