AEW currently has a massive roster, but all of them only have five hours of television time a week. However, Tony Khan keeps signing many ex-WWE and independent wrestlers. As of now, Khan has signed thirteen wrestlers this year alone. Former NJPW star Kota Ibushi is the latest signee.
Before the AEW Dynamite broadcast, Tony Khan announced that “one of the world’s best wrestlers” had agreed to sign with All Elite Wrestling. Full Gear is taking place in Los Angeles, California. Khan stated that they would sign the deal at the show.
“AEW has agreed to terms with one of the world’s best wrestlers, a pro who is known + respected by virtually every @AEW fan! They’ll come to LA to sign their contract THIS SATURDAY 11/18 on ppv at #AEWFullGear!
See you TONIGHT on TBS for the final #AEWDynamite before Full Gear!”

Last September, WWE released several main roster and NXT talents. Main roster talents have a 90-day non-compete clause attached to their contracts, while NXT talents have a 30-day non-compete. Therefore, this could be an NXT talent or a free agent from another promotion.
