Tony Khan, along with Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, launched All Elite Wrestling in 2019. Khan started the promotion for fans who desperately want an alternative product to WWE. The company currently has a very vocal, hardcore fan base that prefers matches over storylines.
AEW’s flagship show, Dynamite, debuted in October 2019 with 1.4 million viewers. As of now, Dynamite is in the 700,000 to 800,000 viewership range, while Rampage and Collision are in the under 500,000 range.
On Friday, AEW President Tony Khan stated on X that he is booking shows for “sickos.”
“I book wrestling for the sickos because that’s what I am and that’s who I care about.”
In another post, Khan stated the following:
“Wake up the bots and tell them that we’re having fun over here in @AEW.”
