Jack Perry last competed at the All In event, where he defended his FTW Championship against Hook in the Zero Hour. Perry dropped the title to Hook at the event.
The 26-year-old took a shot at CM Punk during the match. Both men had a huge backstage altercation as a result. The company investigated the incident and finally came to a conclusion on Saturday. Tony Khan decided to terminate Punk’s AEW contract. Khan said that it was one of the toughest decisions that he had ever made.
During the All Out post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Jack Perry’s status. AEW President confirmed that Perry has been suspended indefinitely.
“He’s been suspended indefinitely. We’ve suspended everybody in that investigation and took further action after that based on what happened and came out of the investigation. We suspended Jack as a participant in an incident backstage, and Jack hasn’t been around. That’s all I can say about it. At the time, we did suspend him, and he hasn’t been at AEW since AEW All In.”
