AEW Continental Classic will start on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. The round-robin tournament will end on Saturday, December 30th, at AEW Worlds End.
Recently, Bryan Danielson, Mark Briscoe, Andrade El Idolo, and Eddie Kingston announced their participation in the tournament. The winner of each match earns three points. However, both wrestlers will get one point each if a bout ends in a draw.
The Continental Classic has two leagues called Gold and Blue. The wrestler who gets the most points in each league becomes the winner. The two winners will face each other at Worlds End. The winner of the tournament will get the ROH World Championship, the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship, and the new AEW Continental Championship.
AEW President Tony Khan, Tony Schiavone, and Eddie Kingston appeared in a special stream to announce the participants in the tournament.

Tony Schiavone announced the following three matches in the Continental Classic will take place tonight on AEW Dynamite.

- Jon Moxley vs. Mark Briscoe
Another two bouts will take place on AEW Collision.
- Claudio Castagnoli vs. Daniel Garcia
- Eddie Kingston vs. Brody King
