AEW President Tony Khan has built relationships with several wrestling promotions since AEW started in 2019. Khan’s company has held several shows together with Impact Wrestling. Khan even allows wrestlers to appear on other wrestling companies despite signing with AEW.
Most recently, AEW and NJPW held the Forbidden Door pay-per-view and introduced several new wrestlers to the fans. Tony Khan also allowed Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson and Paul Wight to appear on WWE RAW to congratulate John Cena on his 20th anniversary. Also, Tony Khan has wanted to collaborate with WWE. However, the decision is up to Vince McMahon.
During an interview with The Ringer’s Masked Man Show, AEW President Tony Khan expressed his willingness to work with WWE.
“I’m not sure if that’s gonna happen [AEW and WWE doing a joint show]. But, I would be open to talking about that type of thing. It’s not crazy but it’s a bold prediction.“
