This week’s WWE NXT featured two legends, John Cena and Undertaker. Cena was involved in an in-ring segment with Bron Breakker. He also had a backstage segment with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Later, the 16-time World Champion came to the ring along with Hayes for the main event and subsequently had a brawl with Solo Sikoa.
WWE Hall of Famer Undertaker appeared on the show in the final few minutes by riding his motorbike. The Phenom then chockslamed Bron Breakker and reminded him who is the badass in WWE.
WWE NXT drew an average of 921,000 viewers on USA Network with 276,300 (0.30) in the 18-49 demo while AEW Dynamite drew an average of 609,000 viewers on TBS with 158,340 (0.26) in the 18-49 demo.
As of now, AEW President Tony Khan has taken shots at Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Shawn Michales. In the latest post, Khan mocked John Cena and The Undertaker for failing to break 1 million in the viewership.
“This week, 2 active decades-long ratings streaks from 2 great legends were ended
With all due respect, until this week’s head-to-head AEW on TBS vs WWE on USA, neither John Cena nor Undertaker had ever been on a WWE show with under 1 million total viewers + under 400k in the demo”
