Ronda Rousey appeared on Friday’s ROH tapings at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California. Rousey’s unannounced appearance shocked everyone. She received a huge ovation from the fans at the arena.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet competed in a tag team match at Tony Khan’s promotion. She teamed up with Marina Shafir to face Athena and Billie Starkz. Rousey put an armbar on Starkz to get the victory.
Before competing in ROH, Ronda Rousey wrestled in two independent events.
AEW President Tony Khan said during the Full Gear post-show media scrum that Ronda Rousey hasn’t signed a deal with his promotion. Rousey wrestled in ROH due to Wrestling Revolver’s tag team match ending in a disqualification. Khan also said that he expects to see Rousey back in All Elite Wrestling.
“She [Ronda Rousey] is not signed, but we had a great conversation. It came about because there was some unfinished business. They had that match, and I thought it would be great for our fans to settle it in the ring. At the Wrestling Revolver show, they had the tag match. To be honest, I had spoken to them, and I thought it would be great to have a match and build some interest, and then have the story come back to Ring of Honor…
Ronda was happy to come here, she was great, the crowd was really excited to see her, and it was a great match. We would love to have her back sometime, it was really fun, her being out here. She’s a local, and she lives nearby, and that helped make it possible. Anytime it’s convenient, we would love to have her back because she was tremendous.”
