This past Friday, Jade Cargill faced Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship in the main event of AEW Rampage. The match was Cargill’s final bout in Tony Khan’s promotion. A few days later, she was removed from the company’s roster page.
Sean Ross of Fightful Select reported that Jade Cargill left All Elite Wrestling on good terms. “She was treated well by AEW on the way out and it seemed like the company found it important to give her an appropriate sendoff.”
Yesterday, PWInsider noted that Jade Cargill was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Cargill is scheduled to make her debut on the main roster and the creative team is already discussing plans for her.
AEW President Tony Khan recently appeared on the “Superstar Crossover” podcast, where he was asked about Jade Cargill’s departure. Khan said that Cargill is a great female wrestler, and their door is always open for her.
“Jade had a great match on Friday night on AEW Rampage and it was a great match against Kris Statlander. Kris Statlander retained the TBS Championship on Rampage on Friday night and I thought that was a great match, definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen either of them have and I thought a really great main event for the show. As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade’s been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW, you know, could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW.”
