The Rock appeared on the March 1, 8, and 15 episodes of SmackDown to build up the WrestleMania 40 Tag Team match. However, Rock’s segments took so much time. Therefore, he received backlash from fans. Several rumors also surfaced on social media regarding time constraints.
This past Monday, The Rock brutally assaulted Cody Rhodes on WWE RAW. The American Nightmare was busted open during the segment. Something that fans rarely saw in the PG era.
On Instagram, The Final Boss posted a video of a clip of what happened after WWE RAW went off the air. In the caption, he stated the following regarding constraints and “bullsh-t rules.”
“I hate constraints and bullsh-t rules – and just because some @wwe producer says, “clear” (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn’t mean I just stop whatever I’m doing and tell everyone great job.
It f–king p-ssed me off. I can’t shut my emotions off just because a script says we’re done. But this is a microcosm of a larger issue I have with individuals, corporations & governments – telling us what we can or can’t do. You have to do it this way, you have to say it that way, or you’ll get cancelled.
They create fear if you have a different perspective and don’t live by their rules.
It’s their way, or no way.F–k that.
I say it the way I want to say it.
I do it the way I want to do it.My choice.
Our choice.F–k your “clear”
– Final Boss”
The Rock and Roman Reigns are scheduled to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of night one of WrestleMania 40. If The Rock and Roman win, then the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Reigns and Rhodes on night two of WrestleMania will be played by The Bloodline rules.
