This past Saturday, MJF successfully retained the AEW World Championship by defeating Jay White at Full Gear. During the match, MJF suffered a hip injury. However, AEW World Champion won’t miss any television time.
At the Zero Hour, MJF and Samoa Joe defeated The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) to retain the ROH World Tag Team Titles. MJF accepted Joe’s offer as his tag team partner on this past Friday’s AEW Rampage. MJF is slated to give Joe an AEW World Title opportunity as part of the deal.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that MJF will defend his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End.
“He’ll [MJF] be ready for the pay-per-view with Samoa Joe which looks like that’s the December show in Nassau Coliseum.”
AEW Worlds End is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 30th, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
