Sonya Deville Breaks Silence After Suffering Torn ACL

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green won the Women’s Tag Team Championships by defeating Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the July 17th episode of Monday Night RAW.

Two weeks ago, Deville and Green faced Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in a Tag Team match on the July 28th episode of SmackDown. Charlotte delivered a Big Boot on Green to win the match.

Unfortunately, Sonya Deville suffered an injury during the match. TMZ reported that Deville sustained a torn ACL that will require surgery. Michael Cole confirmed TMZ’s report during last night’s WWE RAW.

ACL tears will take 3-12 months to fully heal. WWE has yet to announce what the plan is for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Recently, many superstars have been injured during their Women’s Tag Team Championship reigns.

We wish Sonya Deville a fast and full recovery.
