This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Ring of Honor television taping was also held at the venue. Skye Blue faced Rachael Ellering in a singles match at the event.
During the match, a fan at the front row made “disgusting, vile, hateful” comments towards Skye Blue. Ellering and referee Aubrey Edwards stated that the fan was ejected from the arena by security personnel.
Today, Skye Blue issued a statement and thanked fans who supported her. Blue added that everyone should make sure that future female wrestlers do not have to face this kind of situation.
“I’m beyond overwhelmed with all the love and support. Thank you everyone you have no idea how much it’s appreciated 💙
Let’s make sure the future generations of women wrestlers don’t have to deal with this sh-t.”
