Seth Rollins was supposed to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at WrestleMania 40. WWE had to alter the plan after Punk suffered a triceps injury during the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. However, both men still continue their rivalry outside of WWE television.
In an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Seth Rollins was asked if any UFC fighter could make the transition to WWE.
“No, because they don’t have the stamina for it. They don’t fight every single weekend right, This championship goes everywhere, goes to like Biloxi. You know what I’m saying, the top stars over there, they are catered to a certain way, and that’s great, that’s their style. That’s what works for them. I understand that you fight maybe once, or twice a year. But like to fight over 100 times a year, make all those towns, still be able to train, still be able to do all the media, like it’s an exhausting industry.”
Raimondi asked, “Call anybody out?” Rollins then took a shot at Punk.
“I’d call them all out, I don’t care. Try it out. I can’t do what they do. I go in there and get knocked out and choked in two seconds. I probably do better than [CM] Punk, but I still would lose, most likely, they can’t come and do what we do either. Same umbrella, but two totally different worlds.”
