Seth Rollins Comments On Whether The Shield Will Reunite In WWE

The Shield made their WWE debut at Survivor Series in 2012. Since then, they became the most dominant faction in the modern era. But several years later Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose found their path and went separate ways.

Dean Ambrose left WWE in 2019 but Rollins and Reigns stayed with the company. Ambrose changed his name to Jon Moxley and signed with AEW in 2019. Now Jon Moxley is the interim AEW World Champion in AEW.

Many fans are expecting to see all three members of The Shield reunion in the WWE ring again. However, during an interview with Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy, Seth Rollins stated that he doesn’t think The Shield reunite ever again.

“I can say that, and maybe this might come back to bite me at some point, but I just don’t think you’re ever going to see the three of us team up ever again. It wouldn’t look the way you want it to look. It wouldn’t be like the old days in The Shield, it would be a different animal. I think we’re all just too big stars with too big personalities at this point. We needed each other back then, and now none of us need the other one. We’re at a point where we’re all standalone stars on a different level. So to have to kind of minimize that to fit into each other’s molds, I just don’t see it ever happening again. I think it would look a whole lot different than the next time you see us together. The next time you see us together, it’s going to be when we’re inducted into the Hall of Fame. That’s going to be it.“

The Shield’s 10th anniversary falls this November and recently several AEW wrestlers appeared on WWE television for John Cena’s 20th anniversary. Therefore, we hope WWE will celebrate The Shield’s 10th anniversary at this year’s Survivor Series and expect Moxley to join the celebration through a video.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
