Sean O’Malley defended his UFC Bantamweight Championship against Merab Dvalishvili in the main event of UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche UFC at the Sphere.
However, the fight didn’t go as O’Malley expected. Dvalishvili did an excellent job throughout the fight and became the Bantamweight Champion via unanimous decision.
Ahead of UFC 306, Sean O’Malley promised fans a KO victory. On X, O’Malley apologized to fans for his lackluster performance.

Sean O’Malley won the UFC Bantamweight Championship by defeating Aljamain Sterling via TKO in round 2 at UFC 292. O’Malley retained the title against Marlon Vera at UFC 299 before losing to Dvalishvili.
