WWE has been holding two premium live events per year in Saudi Arabia since 2018 as part of the 10-year deal. The company’s next PLE, King and Queen of the Ring, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 25th, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, told ESPN that the Kingdom’s “existing agreement with WWE will be announced later this month.” They added that Alalshikh is looking to bring Royal Rumble or WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia.
As of now, many authorities are hoping to bring WWE’s major PLEs to their regions. London Mayor Sadiq Khan recently said he wants to bring the show of shows to the city.
On Sunday, WWE announced that WrestleMania 41 will take place on April 19th and 20th at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the show was supposed to be hosted at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wendy Blackshaw, the MNSE’s president and chief executive, stated that WWE informed them that WrestleMania 41 won’t be taking place in the city due to a change in direction by new ownership.
