Ronda Rousey last competed on the December 30th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where she successfully retained the SmackDown Women’s Title by defeating Raquel Rodriguez. A moment later, Charlotte Flair made her shocking return and demanded a title match. Rousey then put her SmackDown Women’s Title on the line. However, she lost the title to Charlotte in a quick fashion.
Ronda Rousey was recently advertised for WWE RAW 30th anniversary show in Philadelphia, PA. The company then removed her from the show. It appears that WWE currently has no plan for Rousey.
Fightful Select reported that the Baddest Woman on the Planet won’t appear in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
“We’re told that as of last week, Ronda Rousey actually wasn’t planned for the Royal Rumble PPV, at the time she lost the title, which can clearly change. Until December, Rousey was scheduled for the show in a singles match.”
In a recent YouTube live stream, Ronda Rousey stated that she is no longer interested in SmackDown Women’s Title. Rousey added that she is now focusing on Women’s Tag Team Titles.
