Roman Reigns debuted his Tribal Chief persona at Payback in 2020 by defeating Braun Strowman and The Fiend for the Universal Championship. Since then, Reigns was undefeated in the WWE ring.

Last week, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship by defeating Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle and he continue his dominant reign as the top heel in the company.

Steve Carrier of Ringside News reported that Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were opposed to the idea of Reigns becoming a babyface in the company.

Don’t expect a babyface turn from Roman Reigns any time soon. We were told that Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have made it very clear that the Tribal Chief character will only be a heel. They also stress how heavy the “burden” is to carry the company.

Wrestling News reported that WWE has not planned for Roman Reigns to drop the titles this year.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
