This past Sunday, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship by defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event on night two of WrestleMania 39.
The American Nightmare demanded a rematch this past Monday on RAW. The Tribal Chief refused to give a rematch.
Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa were supposed to face Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar in the main event of WWE RAW. But Lesnar attacked Rhodes before the match began. It appears that Lesnar and Rhodes will continue their storyline. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns has no opponent for the upcoming premium live event.
The next PLE, Backlash is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6th from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that Roman Reigns isn’t scheduled for Backlash PLE. However, Reigns will compete in other upcoming major PLEs.
“Reigns will not be on the San Juan card, or at least that wasn’t the plan on Monday, but he will be doing other major events over the next few months.”
