ROH Match Stopped Due To Legitimate Injury

Last night’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The company taped the upcoming episode of Ring of Honor after Dynamite.

Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal faced Griff Garrison and Cole Karter in a Tag Team match at the show. However, the bout was ended via referee stoppage.

PWInsider reported that Sydal delivered a Twisting Splash on Karter during the match. Sydal didn’t execute the move properly. He landed on Karter’s face. As a result, the back of Karter’s head hit the mat.

Referee Paul Turner called the ringside doctor, Michael Sampson, to check on Cole Karter. The 23-year-old apparently suffered a concussion. Therefore, the referee stopped the bout and declared Daniels and Sydal the winners.

According to PWInsider, Cole Karter was able to stand and walk backstage. However, he spent a long time in the ring.
