Bobby Roode made his pro wrestling debut in the 90s. In 2004, Roode joined Impact Wrestling and he had a legendary career in the promotion. He then joined WWE NXT in 2016 as Robert Roode. He was presented as a top guy on the brand at the time. However, the management didn’t see him as a star on the main roster.
The former NXT champion last competed on the June 25th WWE Live Event. Last December, Robert Roode announced that he had undergone neck fusion surgery for C-5 and C-6 vertebrae.
Today, Robert Roode posted a photo on Instagram and stated that he had undergone another neck fusion surgery at the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham Alabama.
“Another trip around the sun and another trip to Birmingham Alabama.
Quite a way to celebrate my birthday lol. Had a C4/5 cervical fusion to go along with the C5/6 fusion back in November.
Most importantly it was a success thanks to the man himself Dr Andy Cordover and the first class staff here at @andrews_sports_medicine
Big thank you @deneane__17 for being my rock throughout this entire process. It’s been a challenging year to say the least ❤️
Road to recovery part 2! 💪”
It seems like fans have to wait much longer to see Robert Roode on WWE television.
We wish him a fast and full recovery. Stay tuned with The Spotlight for more news.
