Last month, Ric Flair made his All Elite Wrestling debut as Tony Khan’s gift for Sting. Flair signed a multi-year deal with Khan’s promotion. As part of the deal, his energy drink also became the company’s official drink.
WWE Hall of Famer stated that he would be in Sting’s corner until he retires at Revolution next year.
Last Saturday, Sting, Adam Copeland, and Darby Allin defeated Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne in a Trios match. Ric Flair got physical with Christian at ringside during the bout.
On the “Shannon Sharpe of Club Shay Shay” podcast, Ric Flair stated that some people in WWE are not happy about him joining AEW. Flair added that he doesn’t want to do things that affect WWE.
“I think some people are upset with me now that I went to work at AEW. I don’t know why. If you’re acknowledging, and you think I’ve contributed to the business, and I know I have because I hear it every day, you would think they would let me do whatever I want to do. As long as it doesn’t affect them. I’m not going to get on TV and say ‘AEW is better,’ I’m not doing something stupid. I’m just working. That’s all I know how to do. They’re mad. Not mad, but they did something… I’ll tell you off camera.”
