This past Sunday, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was involved in a heated confrontation with an employee of the Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza. Later, the video clip of the incident surfaced on social media. Flair used profanity during the confrontation.
On Monday, Jerry Roberts, the co-owner of the restaurant, issued the following statement to The Gainesville Sun:
“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant. It is clear, our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation using and displaying our team values.”
In an interview with The Gainesville Sun, Ric Flair stated that he was approached by an employee of the restaurant while going to the bathroom.
“I’m like, I don’t shake hands or take photos in bathrooms. Any man that goes into a bathroom knows you can see into the stall. I said, ‘Get your a– off there, I need to use the restroom.”
Flair alleged that a female employee of the restaurant called him a “peeping tom” and a “creep.”
“I’m not going to tolerate that, and you wouldn’t either. That’s a pretty offensive remark. I’ll be quite honest with you, I was pissed because I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s my word against the kitchen employee, and it makes no sense. I admit to everything I said. I have no problem with it because I was mad.”
Flair told the Gainesville Sun that he is considering filing a lawsuit against the restaurant. Flair also added that he has money to buy the restaurant.
“I have the money to buy the restaurant. It’ll be called Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro.”
