Rey and Dominik Mysterio won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania Backlash, becoming the first father and son Tag Team Champions in WWE history. They later dropped the Titles to the current Champions, The Usos, at Money in the Bank.
On this week’s Monday Night Raw, Dominik was removed from RAW Survivor Series team.
According to Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast, WWE is preparing to break up Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
Paul Davis of Wrestling News reported that, “idea was pitched to have Dominik interfere to cause his father to lose at Survivor Series and that would be the start of the heel turn.”
The idea of having Dominik turn on his father has been talked about ever since he signed with the company.
