Recently, several talents from the main roster, NXT and Performance were released after the WWE and UFC merger. A lot of stars have said positive things about their tenure with the company.
However, the 35-year-old, who was released from WWE on Thursday, revealed that he was let go by the company due to backstage political power play. On his YouTube channel, Rick Boogs said the following:
“It’s been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated due to a backstage political power play, at least, that’s my opinion of it. But now is not the time to talk about that. I will get into detail about that when the time is right, but as far as right now, we’re going to do a gym tour.”
Rick Boogs joined WWE in 2017. However, Boogs made his television debut in 2019 after recovering from an injury. Boogs first appeared on the February 6th, 2019 episode of NXT, where he lost to Drew Gulak. In 2021, Rick Boogs became a member of SmackDown and was aligned with Shinsuke Nakamura.
Earlier this year, Boogs returned after recovering from a torn quadriceps tendon injury and defeated The Miz on RAW. Boogs last competed in the SummerSlam Battle Royal.
