Bronson Reed received a huge push during his NXT tenure last year. At one point, Reed became the NXT North American Champion. He then wrestled a dark match on WWE RAW but Vince McMahon didn’t impress with his in-ring skill. Reed was released from WWE on August 6th of last year.
The former NXT North American Champion then competed as Jonah in Impact Wrestling and NJPW. This past Monday on RAW, Bronson Reed made his shocking return during the match between The Miz and Dexter Lumis. Reed helped Miz to win the match.
Fightful Select has reported that Triple H sees Bronson Reed as a priority hire and it’s the reason why Reed returned to WWE this past Monday Night RAW. They also noted that Reed was done with NJPW and signed a WWE contract.
“We’re told that NJPW wanted to retain Reed and was hopeful he stayed. We’d long been told that Bronson Reed was a priority hire for Triple H when he gained power within WWE. We can confirm he’s been inked to a contract. He is done with New Japan Pro Wrestling unless WWE brokers a deal to allow it, which hasn’t been done yet.”
We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
