Last night on SmackDown, Roman Reigns decided to handle the Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn problem by himself. Reigns announced that he and Solo Sikoa will challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at the Night Of Champions premium live event.
Many fans bit surprised after hearing that because Sami Zayn and Owens haven’t competed at Saudi Events before. Sami Zayn is a Canadian-Syrian who decided not to travel to the Kingdom due to Saudi Arabia’s political conflicts with Syria. Owens also personally requested the company not to include him in Saudi Events.
However, both have decided to compete at Night Of Champions PLE after Saudi Arabia and Syria build their relationship back. On Tuesday, multiple news outlets reported that “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to resume the work of its diplomatic mission in the Syrian Arab Republic.”
As of now, three matches announced for Night of Champions PLE.
- Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes
- Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles: Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles
