Last week, Warner Bros Discovery announced AEW’s new flagship show, “AEW Collision”. CM Punk was supposed to be the main star of the show. However, Punk was removed from all the promotional things at the last moment.
Recently, a rumor circulated on social media that AEW has sent a legal letter to CM Punk. Fightful Select has now provided clarification about it. They stated that Punk and AEW management remained in discussion over the past week.
Fightful Select stated that AEW sent those legal documents only for contractual purposes. That documents have contained, speaking certain topics, disparagement clauses, and Punk’s appearance schedule. These steps were taken to protect the company rather than giving legal threats to Punk.
Fightful further noted that discussions between CM Punk and AEW were somewhat successful. Sources close to Punk believe that he will appear in the premiere episode of AEW Collision.
Tonight, Tony Khan will announce the location for the June 17th episode of AEW Collision. According to multiple outlets, United Center in Chicago will be the location. However, backup locations were also discussed in the past weeks.
