Austin Theory received a huge push under Vince McMahon’s regime. Theory once become the United States Champion and he also competed at this year’s WrestleMania. Last July, Theory won the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match and became the youngest Mr. Money in the Bank in WWE history.

However, Austin Theory was treated differently by the new regime. He consistently lost matches after Triple H took control of the company.

Last night on RAW, Theory cashed in his MITB contract on Seth Rollins’ United States title. However, during the match, Bobby Lashley interfered and attacked Theory. Rollins then hit a curb stomp and retained the Championship.

Many fans thought WWE purposely burying Austin Theory. However, that is not the case. Ringside News has reported that Theory is now in a better storyline without the MITB contract.

“We are told that Theory is better off today than he has been since Vince retired and he’s not written off. He’s right in the middle of the US Title picture.”

It seems like WWE did the right thing to Theory’s MITB contract. WWE couldn’t insert Theory into any storyline due to the MITB contract and Roman Reigns’ dominant title reign.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
