AJ Styles and Omos have been team up since April this year, won the RAW Tag Team Championship from The New Day at WrestleMania 37. At SummerSlam , they lost the Titles to RK-Bro, but there will be a rematch at Crown Jewel on Thursday, October 21st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During this year’s WWE draft, there were several tag teams split up. Veer staying on RAW while Jinder Mahal and Shanky drafted to SmackDown. Natalya split up with Tamina, as Natalya staying on SmackDown and Tamina drafted to RAW. Shotzi and Tegan Nox’s team split up, as Nox darfted to RAW while Shotzi staying on SmackDown. Mace and T-Bar’s team also split up, as Mace drafted to SmackDown while T-bar staying on RAW.

WrestleVote reported that the WWE intended to split AJ Styles and Omos’ team.

WWE had seriously considered breaking the pairing of AJ Styles & Omos during draft. To the point where that was the plan. Until people of power (including a main RAW talent) spoke up & expressed thoughts on how Omos isn’t quite ready for singles yet. And they actually listened.
