Nick Diaz vs. Vicente Luque Fight Canceled, New Co-Main Event Announced For UFC Abu Dhabi

Nick Diaz (26-10-2) was supposed to face Vicente Luque (22-10-1) in the co-main event at UFC Fight Night in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on August 3rd. However, the welterweight fight has been postponed due to travel issues.

The 40-year-old last competed at UFC 266 in 2021, where he lost to Robbie Lawler (30-16-1) via TKO in round 3. It was Diaz’s return fight after being suspended for marijuana.

UFC announced that Shara Magomedov (13-0) will face Michal Oleksiejczuk (19-8-1) in a middleweight bout in the co-main event on August 3rd. The company also stated that the Diaz vs. Luque fight will take place later this year.
