Last October, Nick Aldis made his WWE debut as the on-screen General Manager of SmackDown. Aldis has competed in numerous wrestling promotions, including TNA, before joining WWE.
On Wednesday, Nick Aldis announced that he had ruptured his bicep tendon. The 37-year-old has already undergone surgery. He didn’t provide any details as to how the injury occurred. Aldis stated it was a freak accident, and he won’t miss any SmackDown episodes due to the injury.
“Yes, I just got out of surgery for a ruptured bicep tendon, and yes, the sheets had it within minutes. God bless ’em. Must be a slow news day…anyway it was a freak accident, I’m on the mend, and I will continue to fulfill my obligations. #SmackDown”
